About Us
SafeHarbor Regulatory & Consulting Services ("SafeHarbor") was established to support the increased need of insurance companies to manage internal resources most efficiently.
Insurance companies typically interact with state and industry regulatory bodies, such as insurance departments and the NAIC with regard to ongoing business activities. However, many businesses are not staffed to handle non-core activities such as licensing applications and holding company filings which are projects of a finite duration. Rather than add to payroll for a particular project, SafeHarbor offers insurers assistance with the company's regulatory, compliance and related needs.
Our experienced legal, regulatory and finance professionals have many years of experience in the insurance industry, including property and casualty, monoline financial guaranty, corporate-owned life, traditional and finite reinsurance, as well as in corporate finance. Our experience has taught us that forming or acquiring a new company, creating a captive, redomesticating, changing a corporate name or obtaining state insurance licenses requires specialized skills and contacts that overtax an already burdened in-house legal staff.
SafeHarbor can implement regulatory filings more efficiently so that you can concentrate on developing and managing your insurance business.
Our scope of services encompasses many of the regulatory issues faced by insurers. To maximize client benefit, SafeHarbor draws from its unique multi-disciplinary team of experienced specialists.
